Headaches
Over 45 Million Americans repeatedly have headaches. About 18 million have migranes. Common causes of headaches include eyestrain, tension, poor ventilation, sinus pressure, constipation, stress, anxiety, muscle tension, infection, anemia, hunger, fever, hormonal imbalances, trauma to head, nutritional deficiencies, alcohol, drugs, tobaco, etc.
Twelve types of Headaches
Nervous Tension Headaches - Continual pain in one area or many, with sore muscles in neck and upper back with lightheadedness and dizziness. (Ice Pack on neck and upper back)
Cluster Headaches - Strong throbbing pain on one side of head, tearing of eye, flushing of face, congestion of nose. (Get enough protein)
Hangover Headache - Throbbing pain, caused by drinking liquor. (Put ice on neck and drink lots of water and fruit juices, refrain from alcohol)
Exertion Headache - Caused by physical exertion. (Apply ice packs to the point of pain, improve diet, stop the excesses)
Caffeine Headache - Throbbing pain that happens when you try to quit coffee addiction too fast. (Drink small amount of coffee to stop headache then reduce the amount and frequency)
Sinus Headache - A nagging pain to the right and left of the nose and over it. (Apply moist heat to reduce sinus trouble, take more vit. C)
Billious Headache - The temples throb, and there is a dull headache in the forehead. Caused by wrong eating, over eating and inactivity. (Get more exercise, better diet)
Menstrual Headache - A headache which feels like a migraine. (Take potassium, magnesium, and Vit. B)
Hunger Headache - Headache before mealtime, caused by skipping meals. (Eat better meal with more complex carbs. and protein)
Eyestrain Headache - Pain in the frontal lobes, just behind the eyes, caused by too much brain work at late hours and uncorrected vision problems. (change habits or eye glasses)
Arthritis Headache - Pain in the back of head or neck, which increases with movement. (Fever few herb teas recommended)
Hypertension Headache - A dull pain over much of the head increased by movement. (Reduce blood pressure)
